![]() ![]() It is our mission to support their fight to keep their parental rights, assist them getting answers to what happened to baby Selena, and aid in reuniting her with her parents who have wrongly been accused of a crime they did not commit. This group has been created by friends and supporters to raise awareness of this family's struggle to find out what happened to their baby girl and bring her home, and reach out for the community's help. SELENA GREEN VARGAS FULLA petition has now been submitted to the court by CPS requesting full termination of parental rights for both of Selena's parents. Because they still had no explanation for Selena's injuries, Josh and Alex were told that they were now suspect in abusing their daughter and Selena was placed in protective care with family at the request of CPS. On October 16th, 2015 their entire world was turned upside down and their nightmare began. ![]() After 30 days, and after receiving inconclusive test results and having no new leads, CPS called Alex and Josh in to review the results of their investigation. From the start, both Alex and Josh were fully cooperative with all of their requests and offered any help that they could to find out who or what may have caused these injuries to their little girl. After 5 days, 4 sleepless nights, two full leg casts for Selena, she was allowed to return home with her parents while they counted the days, praying for answers.īecause of the nature of the injuries, CPS was notified and began a 30 day investigation, as they are required to do in such situations. For 5 days, Alex and Josh anxiously waited while doctors examined their daughter's injuries and waited to hear results, praying they would shed light on how their precious baby girl had sustained such injuries. Mott's Children's Hospital and Selena's medical care was taken over by the Child Protection Team. They were transferred to the University of Michigan's C.S. Upon examination and xrays of her legs, they were devastated to learn that Selena had hairline compression fractures on both of her legs. On September 11th, 2015 Alexandria Burgess & Joshua Soto took their 11 month old daughter Selena to the Emergency Room after noticing that she was exhibiting signs of leg pain.
